Professor Dr. Quazi Tarikul Islam was born in October 1954. He studied medicine at Rajshahi Medical College and completed his bachelor’s degree in 1981. He later earned his FCPS degree in Internal Medicine in 1987. Dr. Islam served as a medical consultant at the district hospital for three years from 1987 to 1991. He was a Medicine specialist at Rajshahi Medical College from 1991 to 1993. Dr. Tarikul Islam joined there as an assistant professor. In 2003, he was promoted as Associate Professor and in 2007 he became Professor of Medicine and the head of the Department of Medicine in the same institute.
